Mum n Dad Mowing …. (also known in the industry as The Mowing Man) have been mowing lawns since 1989.
It all began when Jeff started mowing lawns and doing handyman work for his Personal Training clients who were often too busy to keep their lawns tidy and their houses in order. I was often without PT clients during the middle of the day when most people were at work, so it seemed like a good idea to train clients early in the morning and then mow their lawns and do their odd jobs through the day.
The original business name (Mum ‘n’ Dad) came from the mother of one of my earliest mowing clients. We used to mow this lawn as a favor for one of our training clients and we struck a deal with his Mum to mow her lawns in exchange for a cup of tea and cake. One day this lady had a friend visiting her and the friend asked who we were and she replied “that’s Mum and Dad Mowing” and since then the name has stuck with us.
